TESTIMONIALS

"Gabrielle has done some work for me recently...I can't believe how talented she is...I am soooo happy with the finished products. In the future, I would not use anyone else but Gabrielle." -- J.P, Pacific Palisades

"Gabriele is a very talented artist.  But she's so much more than that - she is a business woman, completely professional and reliable, always looking for ways to expand her business, improve her already impressive skills, and stay on top of the latest design trends.  Gabriele is the first person I think of when a client wants a unique wall treatment.  I hired her to do a faux finish in a wine cellar that I designed.  She proposed a tromp l'oeil of an arched door with an iron gate that looks into an old wine cellar with wine barrels.  People who have seen photographs of this painting can't believe that it's not a real door leading to a wine cellar.
Gabriele's prices are fair and the outcome is phenomenal!"
-- M.M. Interior Designer

“Gabrielle is an amazing artist and very easy to collaborate with; she helped us complete our vision. The final result was a beautiful mural that was both elegant and timeless, which put the final touch on our bathroom remodel. I would highly recommend her for your unique projects.”
-- S. H., Interior Designer

“Gabriele is an awesome artist. The mural she created for me was more than I expected. I am very, very happy with her work and would highly recommend her to anyone.”
-- R.G., Beverly Hills

" Gabrielle created a mural for my laundry room.  I love it!  She worked closely with me to get the exact look I wanted.  She was very professional, on time everyday, quick and neat.  I highly recommend Gabrielle."
-- J.R., Glendale

"Gabrielle did an incredible mural in my newborn daughter's room -- the theme was New York City. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is simply terrific... I am now trying to think up new projects for her just because I know whatever task I put her to she'll do amazingly well. A true artist and perfectionist!!!!!!"
-- L.S., Kid's Mural, LA

"Gabriele was such a pleasure to work with.  I’m so glad I came across her website and I chose her amongst 50 muralist sites in LA.  She was patient and so fun to work with.  She offers great ideas and will definitely work with your own vision.  It’s very true that she will do what the customer will like which is so important.
I changed my idea 2-3 times and she was very understanding.
She is professional from start to ending.  She did adorable rough drafts and her actual paintings were even better.  Not only is she talented, creative, full of fun ideas, and has a great artsy german accent—she is also very fast at execution.  I feel very lucky to have met her.  Everybody who has seen our mural loves it.  Most importantly my kids love it!  She did an amazing job…  We will cherish this masterpiece for years to come…"

-- J.C., Kid's Mural, San Marino

"Gabrielle is a fantastic artist and a great person. We love the work she did for us, and she is open to changes as she goes on with the project. She responded quickly and started right away. I highly recommend Gabrielle."

Press Release July 13, 2008

Granada Hills, July 13, 2008 - Today popular fashion and decorating trends are being heightened by the sudden increase of shows that determine items that will be “the next big thing”. Wall Murals have become one of the hottest trends in home and office decorating. Over 100 million viewers tune into the popular TV shows that cater to today's growing, “do-it-yourself” market. Shows such as 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy', Discovery Channel's, ‘Trading Spaces' and ABC's ‘Extreme Makeover- Home Edition' have supported the demand for decorative murals.

Mural painting is a dramatic and affordable way to customize or transform an interior or exterior space. A mural is a one-of-a-kind work of art that is uniquely tailored to the desire of the client as interpreted through the expert hand and eye of the skilled artist. Murals are perhaps the most unique way to decorate both inside and outside the home or office. Unlike mass-produced wallpaper or flat paint, they are created purely from the imaginations of homeowners and artists. In the past, murals have mainly been accessible only to the very rich, but now the art form is available to anyone who wishes to have an original work of art for their home.

Gabrielle is one of these artists who have decided to bring original art work in form of customized murals and paintings into a home owner’s living space and into the rooms of commercial buildings like restaurants and offices.

Gabrielle, originally from Germany and Switzerland, has specialized in classic and traditional murals of the 17 th century. She does murals from Master Paintings like Lancret, Watteau, Michelangelo or Caravaggio. Some have called her murals already a master piece. To do this kind of murals in the style of the old masters you have to be not only good, you have to know how to create this certain transparence and detailed features which are dominating these paintings. The used colors are far away from being vibrant; these murals mirror the romantic feelings and softness of this time period. Gabrielle does not only these special murals, the demand must be higher, so she can focus only on them, no, she does Trompe L Oeil murals, murals on furniture, faux finishes and Venetian Plaster in combination with murals, nursery murals and kids room murals. Her customers are located all over the San Fernando Valley and in greater Los Angeles.

How does Gabrielle proceed? First the job site will be inspected personally. Every space is unique and different. Without seeing the space it is difficult to do a proper estimate but good photographs would help if the location would be out of town or state. All existing wall colors, the style of furniture and how a home is decorated will be taken into account and if a color consulting is needed Gabrielle helps in choosing the right colors. Gabrielle is doing then a draft or design which is a very important part of the whole mural process.
How does the designing process work? Either the customer has a clear vision of the mural he wants and can articulate it and/or show photographs or pictures which will help to find a staring basis. If he does not really know what he likes Gabrielle can do her own design finding of course:

“I kind of know what people like, what visions they want to be seen on their walls. Sometimes I even can read their thoughts. After having done this for so many times and for so many different customers I have developed a feeling for the right design. It has to match the clients and his surrounding. It should mirror the atmosphere of the home. It can be rural or elegant – it does not matter. I am not enforcing any styles on someone. The designing process continues until my customer is happy but it is up to me to make it visible for him. This is my task and I have done this quite well after all the years.”
Gabrielle can show her customers the design as how it will look on the walls. She has developed a technique which is brilliant, safes time and shows the art work in its colors and forms.

When the customer has agreed upon the design, and only when he had done so, the mural will be started. It might take days, weeks or even months until it is finished but Gabrielle has been told that she works faster than others. She can estimate very exact when a mural project will be finished. There won’t be any delays or stops in between. Gabrielle works also with other professional artists when the mural project exceeds a certain size and additional help is acquired.

This is what a client says: "My husband and I had a clear vision of what we wanted for our baby nursery. Gabriele not only understood exactly what we wanted, but her artwork exceeded our expectations and our nursery turned out better than we could have dreamed! Not only is she talented, but she is reliable, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. We are beyond thrilled with the results!" K. C., Encino

All in all Gabrielle’s Service goes beyond what you are expecting from an artist. Maybe her European background is responsible for the effective and orderly way how she is delivering her products and services. “I have never seen anybody working so neat and clean”, a customer of West Hills mentioned. But the most important part is what makes her unique is the fact that she really cares about the customers in delivering what they need and want. Her customers are thrilled about her murals and art work for children’s rooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, hallways, wine cellars or any room in a home.

Whatever style of mural you choose, a tropical mural or a window mural, you can rely on Gabrielle – you always get what you like. She takes your illusions and makes them visible. You space will become alive and will get compliments from your friends and family. Gabrielle is your mural illusionist in the Valley.
