A Mural always begins with a Design

"A mural is always a timeless piece. It should flow with the interior design and bring joyfull moments."
Gabrielle Utz, Muralist, Painter, Fine Artist

Before you will get a brief glance into the probably "unknown mural world", you must know, Gabrielle always keeps in mind that a mural or wall finish for your home is only created and made for YOU, and nobody else.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------
The first step toward commissioning a mural painting requires that all parties are meeting to discuss the project and to brainstorm collaborative ideas. Many of Gabrielle's clients presented photographs or ideas which they wanted to be featured in the mural. In this process Gabrielle always makes sure that your ideas are been followed by her. Ther eis nothing worse than artwork which is being enforeced on the client.
Gabrielle would take all needed measurements, takes photographs and samples of existing colors or fabrics.
The purpose is to ensure that the chosen design will match the desired visual and aestetic effect. Gabrielle always asks a design deposit unless special offers would include the designing process (usually 1 draft).
After the designing deposit (starting from $300) is received, the designing process can begin. Gabrielle always integrates the taken photographs of the wall space into her drafts, so you can actally see how the mural will look in your room or the asigned space.

Once the final design has been agreeed upon, the correct price estimate for the mural project can be submitted. The Mural fees can vary after the final design had been chosen.

Some projects require a full-color sample board (for Venetian plaster, Faux Finishes or to integrate specific colors of the interior into the mural). For example the dress of the Ballerina in the Old World Mural of Bel Air, is showing the same colors than the custom curtains in the dining room. For this purpose Gabrielle made several color samples to match the correct color.

When all necessary elements of the commissioned mural are approved by the client or Interior Designer, Gabrielle is asking a deposit which is normally 25-50 percent of the overall mural fee. A written agreement will be presented and signed by both parties.
Gabrielle's mural process does not have any hidden fees or negative surprises for the client or Interior Designer.

Execution of Murals

All specific and relevant information of the mural project will be included in the agreement, and Gabrielle starts the mural after having received the initiate deposit. A time frame will be worked out so you can plan all your relevant activities (important when remodelling), and won't get disturbed by the mural project.
